Spanish Marjoram, (Thymus mastichina), is a distinct species of thyme. It grows wild in the Algarve, and the flowering herb is harvested to obtain its essential oil. The scent of the fresh herb is reminiscent of marjoram, and it can also be used as a spice to enhance the flavor of fish and meat.
Macchia thyme essential oil is well-suited for treating respiratory ailments.

Safety information:
Thyme oil mastichina should not be used during pregnancy.
Thyme oil mastichina should not be used on babies and toddlers. For children with obstructive respiratory disease, the oil should be used in a particularly low dose.
